SUICIDE PREVENTION & SURVIVOR SUPPORT FUND

 (The Marcia Murray Memorial Fund)

More research is urgently needed to better understand suicide and improve prevention and treatment efforts. Emerging case reports suggest that EMDR therapy may help reduce suicide risk, support survivors of suicide loss, and assist those affected by suicide attempts. However, rigorous scientific research is essential to expand knowledge, strengthen evidence-based care, and bring hope and healing to those impacted by this tragedy. Solid research is needed to expand our knowledge so that help can become available. All monies donated to this Marcia Murray Memorial Fund will be earmarked for research that investigates EMDR therapy with individuals at high risk of suicide and those who have been impacted by the trauma of suicide loss or exposure to suicide attempts.
